Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award –
This award recognizes the accomplishments of an outstanding traditionally-aged MTSU student who has a 3.0 cumulative GPA, is actively involved in the university community, and is seen as a mentor and advocate for women.
Outstanding Nontraditional Student Award –
(2-3 awards per academic year)
This award recognizes a nontraditional student on our campus who has shown a passion for learning, a commitment for their academic program, and has contributed significantly to the university community while managing the multiple life roles of a nontraditional student. Candidates considered as nontraditional students includes those who are currently enrolled adult learners, seeking an undergraduate degree and with one or more of the following characteristics:
* 25 years or older
* A parent or family member caregiver/guardian
* A student with full-time work duties
* A US Armed Forces Veteran or current military member
CARE (Concern for Adults Returning to Education) Award –
This award recognizes a faculty or staff member who shows sensitivity to the diverse learning styles, experiences, and multifaceted lives of nontraditional students. Faculty or staff members are nominated because they interact positively with nontraditional students and support and enrich the student experience.
