June Anderson Center for Women and Nontraditional Students
Events
Each year the June Anderson Center for Women and Nontraditional Students/Power of ONE Office hosts a variety of events for the entire campus community. See below for a list of our events and more information.

Join Maigan (from JAC) and Danielle (from IDA) for YARNIES! as we create a community for those of us stitchers out there! We will be in the Intercultural and Diversity Affairs lounge (STU 330) every 1st and 3rd Monday from 3:00-4:00pm. Join us and bring your WIP (work in progress). Nov 4th & 18th, Dec 2nd, Feb 3rd & 17th, Mar 3rd & 17th, April 7th & 21st.

Every third Thursday of the month, the June Anderson Center hosts a Nontraditional Student ONLY Coffee Event, called JAC CHAT. Come meet other nontraditional students and create a community here at MTSU. November 21st, February 20th, March 20th, and April 17th from 2:00-4:00pm in the June Anderson Center (STU 330).

For March, our Crafternoon is Board and Brush. Join us on Tuesday, March 25th or Wednesday, March 26th from 1-4pm in STU 330 and paint a fun stenciled slogan or design your own work of art. If you can’t stay, no problem. Pick up the kit and take it with you for an optional Zoom on Wednesday night at 8:00pm. Zoom link will be provided at kit pick up.

The June Anderson Center and National Women’s History Month are sponsoring a female-topic roundtable discussion on March 31st. The MTSU Women’s Collective will meet and share information and ideas for MTSU. Allies encouraged and welcome. Drop in from 3-5pm, Student Union Gallery (enter through the breezeway outside the STU Front Desk).

Be a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month by creating a shirt for our Clotheslines Project. Our Creation Stations will take place in the STU Atrium on April 1st 11:30-12:30pm or April 3rd 12:30-1:30pm. These shirts will be hung in the Atrium for all to see!

View the Clothesline Project from April 3rd-11th in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Take part in our annual 1-mile walk in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness on April 15th starting at 4:00pm (last walkers must start by 5:30pm). Free shirts, Chick-Fil-A, and teal ribbons while supplies last.
