Each year the June Anderson Center for Women and Nontraditional Students/Power of ONE Office hosts a variety of events for the entire campus community. See below for a list of our events and more information.

Join Maigan (from JAC) and Danielle (from IDA) for YARNIES! as we create a community for those of us stitchers out there! We will be in the Intercultural and Diversity Affairs lounge (STU 330) every 1st and 3rd Monday from 3:00-4:00pm. Join us and bring your WIP (work in progress). Sept 16th, Oct 7th & 21st, Nov 4th & 18th, Dec 2nd, Feb 3rd & 17th, Mar 3rd & 17th, April 7th & 21st.

Every third Thursday of the month, the June Anderson Center hosts a Nontraditional Student ONLY Coffee Event, called JAC CHAT. Come meet other nontraditional students and create a community here at MTSU. October 17th, November 21st, February 20th, March 20th, and April 17th from 2:00-4:00pm in the June Anderson Center (STU 330).

Come and Craft with us! We are changing our previous Craft Nites into CRAFTERNOON! This month is Mod Podge. You can hang out with us IN-PERSON whenever it suits you on Tuesday, October 22nd or Wednesday, October 23rd (NEW DATES) from 1-4pm or you can pick up your kit and Zoom with us Wednesday evening at 8:00pm. Zoom info provided at pick up.

Throughout the month of October the June Anderson Center and Power of ONE Office are collecting NEW WITH TAGS Bras and comfy clothing in recognition of both Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness Months. These donations will be dropped off in early November to the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center of Rutherford County, located here in Murfreesboro. These items will be used for both the domestic violence shelter and for the sexual assault examination closet. The June Anderson Center, along with the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership, the Nontraditional Student Advisory Committee, and the MTSU Food Pantry are bringing back their ever-popular THANKFUL THURSDAY event. From now until November 4th, we will be collecting non-perishable Thanksgiving Side Items. Bags of these items will be available to MTSU students (while supplies last, 1 per student) on Thursday, November 7th, 11am-1pm in the Student Union Atrium. Drop off any items in STU 330, EHS Lobby, COMM Studies Dept, KUC 124, or KUC 316. If you are in need of an on-campus pick up, please email JAC at jacwns@mtsu.edu or call 615-898-5812.

On October 17th, the JAC/Power of ONE Office will be hosting Nashville Therapy Pets and telling students more about the impact Domestic Violence has on pets in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Join us form 11am-1pm on the STU Commons.

Thursday, October 17th is also PURPLE THURSDAY! Wear Purple in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness. Tag us @mtsu.jac or @mtpowerofone and show your support!

MTSU Students, pick up a bag of non-perishable Thanksgiving Side Items on Thursday, November 7th from 11am-1pm in the STU Atrium (1 bag per MTSU Student, while supplies last).
